Energy Advisor
Join the growing and exciting industry of Energy Efficiency!As part of the sales team, our Energy Advisors are responsible for visiting small business customers to conduct site assessments, creating formal customer proposals and then sell those proposals across a wide variety of small business customer segments.

Conduct on site commercial energy audits for eligible utility customersProvide information to customers on available incentives and details of the programPrepare and present proposals that recommend energy conservation measures, provide customer costs and incentives, and then sell the value proposition to the customerMaintain strong ongoing communications with customers to assure customer satisfactionPrepare status reports to accurately describe activities in the field and monitor progress towards program goalsMeet or exceed set proposal and sales objectivesContribute to the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaignsCoordinate with or follow up on program quality assurance activities such as field inspections and customer surveys, as appropriateRequired Skills:
Self-motivated, accountable, sales oriented mentalityOutgoing personality and the ability to interact positively with people and provide excellent customer serviceExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsDetailed oriented with the ability to work to schedules and objectivesAbility to learn and present energy efficiency conceptsProven ability to conduct successful cold calls and generate leadsTeam player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentLocal working knowledge of the area preferredSound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential informationProficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)Educational Requirements:
Bachelors or Associates Degree with 3-5 years sales experience or,Prior Military Service with Honorable Discharge with 3-5 years related experience
Experience:
2-5 years of technically oriented sales experience a plus, but not required Experience with energy auditing or commercial lighting is a plus, not required Strong sales background required Working Conditions:
Significant field work requiring driving and/or walking80% local travel with compensation packageValid driver's license and access to a reliable car required (car allowance will be provided)Opportunity for promotion based upon performanceThe ideal candidate should live between Medina and Rochester.
Sales territory will cover Gasport, Medina and Brockport.
