Assistant Professor of Psychology Job no: 494099 Position Type: Faculty (Full-Time) Location: Brockport Division/Equivalent: Academic Affairs School/Unit: Psychology Categories: Professional Non-Faculty Assistant Professor of Psychology The College at Brockport The Department of Psychology at the College at Brockport, State University of New York invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position to begin August, 2019.
We seek a Social or Clinical Psychologist, or a Psychologist in a related area, with preference given to those with applied interests in any of the following subfields: cross-cultural psychology; social-health disparities; forensic psychology (or a combination of these areas).
We particularly welcome applications from scholars from populations historically underrepresented in the academy and/or who have experience working with diverse populations.
Major Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses; conduct high quality research; supervise students in research activities; advise and mentor students; and, participate in service to the department, college, university, and community.
Required Qualifications Ph.
in Social, Clinical (licensed or license-eligible in NYS), or other relevant field of psychology from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally accredited institution.
Degree is required by official start date.
Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses related to Clinical or Social Psychology Ability to develop courses in specialty area Ability and willingness to teach core courses such as Principles of Psychology and Statistics Potential for effective teaching and mentoring of a diverse student population Ability to develop and maintain an active program of research Willingness and desire to mentor students from diverse educational backgrounds Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience at the college level Demonstrated commitment to exemplary teaching Ability to effectively engage faculty, staff, and students in a collegial and collaborative manner Department Description The department is composed of 15 full-time faculty members who have varied research interests.
We have a large undergraduate program serving approximately 700 majors and minors.
We also have a combined BS/MA program and a master's program with general and clinical tracks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
