We seek a faculty member interested in teaching and conducting research in one or more of the following areas: Computer Networks (hardware and software), Cybersecurity, Computer Architecture, and Operating Systems.
We particularly welcome applications from scholars from populations historically underrepresented in the academy and/or who have experience working in diverse populations.
Major Responsibilities The successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems; conduct high quality research; supervise students in research and project activities; advise and mentor students; and participate in service to the department, college, university and community.
Required Qualifications PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
ABD candidates will be considered and must earn their doctorate within 6 months of hire.
Degree must be from a college or university accredited by the U.
Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Computer Science and/or Computer Information Systems.
Ability to develop new courses in areas of specialization.
Ability to develop and maintain an active research program.
Willingness and desire to mentor students from diverse educational backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage faculty, staff and students in a collegial and collaborative manner.
Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience at the college level.
Demonstrated commitment to exemplary teaching.
Demonstrated interest and ability to teach classes in one or more of the following areas: Computer Networks (hardware and software), Cybersecurity, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems Department Description The department is composed of 10 full-time faculty members who have varied interests in teaching and research.
We have a large undergraduate program serving approximately 260 majors and 30 minors.
The Department is home to two ABET accredited programs in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems, with the Computer Information Systems program being the only such program accredited in the State of New York.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
